Every race director knows the moment: a runner crosses the line, hands on knees, and reaches for the medal before the water.
That photo, medal round the neck and the city or trail behind, is how people hear about your race. A medal from a catalogue won't do that job.
Marathon medals, built around your race

The finisher medal
The race name, year and distance, in the shape of your logo or even a bib number. It's the one thing every runner takes home.

The race name on the ribbon
The race name, date or sponsors printed all along the ribbon. It's what shows in every finish-line photo.

Names on the back
Winners' names, age categories or the date, laser-engraved on the back of the medal.

A message in the metal
Leaves cut right through the medal, green enamel and a line around the rim. The design can say what your race stands for.
5K, 10K, half marathon and marathon medals
Most races give every distance its own medal but keep the same look. Here are three ways to do it.

5K

10K

21.1K

42.2K
- 01
Same medal, different ribbon
One mould, and the distance goes on the ribbon. It's the cheapest way to cover every distance with a cast medal.
- 02
Same design, different metal colour
Gold for the marathon, silver for the half, bronze for the 10K, all from the same mould.
- 03
A design for each distance
With cast medals, each extra mould adds to the price. Printed steel doesn't use a mould, so every distance can have its own design without a new one.
Medals for every kind of run
Marathons and ultras
The longer the race, the heavier the medal should feel. Deep 3D relief and extra thickness are what finishers keep on the shelf.
Trail and mountain runs
Ridges, forest and the route line, sculpted into the metal. An antique finish stays darker in the low parts, so the relief reads from a metre away.
Charity runs
The charity's logo cast into the metal and its colours filled in enamel.
Fun runs and school races
Hundreds of kids, one design. A 2D cast medal keeps the enamel colours and lowers the cost, and a smaller diameter lowers it again.
Santa and Christmas runs
A bauble, a snowflake or a Santa hat: the casting die takes any outline, so the medal ends up on the tree.
Cross country and race series
One design for every age group, with a different ribbon colour for each.

Frequently asked questions
How early should a race order finisher medals?
Plan around 10 weeks with express delivery or 14 weeks with normal delivery. This covers design, production, our quality check and delivery to you.
Finisher medal or participation medal: what is the difference?
A finisher medal goes to everyone who crosses the finish line. A participation medal goes to everyone who starts, which is common at children's and school races. The medal itself can be the same; only the wording changes, for example “Finisher” or “Participant”.
What are running medals made of?
Cast medals are made of Zamak, a zinc alloy, 4.5–8 mm thick. Printed steel medals are cut from steel sheet 2–5 mm thick. Both come plated in gold, silver, bronze and other finishes.
Does the 50-medal minimum apply to each distance?
No. The minimum counts across the whole order, so three distances with 20 medals each make one order of 60.
Is a printed ribbon included?
Yes. Every medal comes with a ribbon printed with your design, included in the price. It's printed on one side and white on the back; a ribbon printed on both sides is available too.
Do you make medals for virtual runs?
Yes. Virtual races get exactly the same medals as races on the road, in any of the three types.
