When to choose this technique
- Your design lives on silhouette — mountain skylines, chainrings, geometric logos
- You want a modern look without mould costs on a first edition
- Mid-size runs (100–500) where per-piece price matters more than relief

Frequently asked questions
What materials are laser-cut medals made of?
Steel or stainless steel, 2–4 mm thick, with plated or powder-coated finishes. Brass is available for a warmer tone.
How fine can openwork details be?
Cut-out gaps from about 1 mm and bridge widths from 1.5 mm are safe. Letters inside openwork work best from 6 mm height — we check every design before production.
Is laser-cut cheaper than die-cast?
Usually yes — there is no mould fee, which matters most on smaller runs. On repeat orders of 1,000+ the gap narrows because a die-cast mould is kept free for two years.
