Judo cup — the throw in relief
Two fighters caught mid-throw, modelled deep enough to cast their own shadow across the face of the medal.
Depth instead of colour
The pair is left in bare gold. Folds in the jacket and the tension in the standing leg come from the modelling, not from paint.
The ring holds the words
Tournament name above, laurel below, both sitting in red enamel. That keeps the lettering off the fighters and away from the action.
Three metals, one die
Gold, silver and bronze come off the same tooling with a different plating. Only the plating line changes between the three.
