Kit colours, not metal colours
Red trisuit, blue vest, white helmet. Printing means the medal can carry the club kit instead of translating it into gold and silver.
Water made of dots
The splash around the swimmer is printed with soft gradients — the effect a mould would have to flatten into two or three levels.
